HONOLULU (March 17, 2021) –Navian Hawaii’s 12th Annual Hot Pursuit presented by Hawaiian Electric Industries will take place virtually again this year. Teams will work together to complete fun challenges including trivia and a scavenger hunt, all while giving back to the community. Starting Saturday, April 24, participants will have one week to complete the challenges and be eligible to win prizes in the following categories: Top Three Fundraisers, Best Team Spirit, Social Media Master, Best Face Mask and Lucky Team Finisher.
“Hot Pursuit originated 12 years ago to align with National Healthcare Decisions Day and to encourage conversations about advance care planning,” said Tori Abe Carapelho, president and chief executive officer of Navian Hawaii. “Although we are not able to physically come together this year, we’re keeping the spirit of the in-person race alive with unique challenges that provide the perfect family activity or team building exercise.”
Registration is now open for teams of two to five participants. Registration is free and teams must pledge to fundraise a minimum of $50. Funds raised will support Navian Hawaii’s hospice and integrated care programs to provide care for every life journey.
The virtual race will kick off on Saturday, April 24 at 9 a.m. and ends on Friday, April 30 at 6 p.m. Teams are able to start and finish at their own pace within the race week.
Hot Pursuit is sponsored by Hawaiian Electric Industries, City Mill, 102.7 Da Bomb, Hawaii News Now, HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union, Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary, First Insurance Company of Hawaii, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Advantage Realty, and Integrations Technologies, Inc.
