“Amazing Race” style event to take place on April 25, 2020

HONOLULU (FINAL) – Lace up your sneakers and put on your thinking caps, because Navian Hawaii’s 11th Annual Hot Pursuit, presented by Par Hawaii, will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Waterfront Plaza. Hot Pursuit involves teams of two to six participants racing through Kakaako, solving riddles and completing challenging tasks in a dash to the finish line. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Finishers, Top Fundraiser, Best Spirit and Top Student Team.

“For over 10 years, Navian Hawaii has been hosting Hot Pursuit every April to align with National Healthcare Decisions Day and to start conversations about advance care planning,” said Tori Abe Carapelho, president and chief executive officer of Navian Hawaii. “Hot Pursuit has become a beloved tradition for the people of Hawaii, and we’re eager to kick-off our 11th year of bringing the community together for a great cause.”

In addition to the race, the community is invited to enjoy family friendly activities at Waterfront Plaza, including live entertainment, a Family Fun Zone, games, face painting, balloon art, shave ice truck, popcorn and more. Hot Pursuit is open to the public.

“As a longtime partner of Navian Hawaii, Par Hawaii is committed to supporting the organization’s mission of caring for every life journey,” noted Jim Yates, president of Par Hawaii, LLC. “We are proud to be the presenting sponsor of Hot Pursuit for the 11th consecutive year, and we thank all participants, sponsors and volunteers for making this worthwhile event possible.”

Registration is now open for teams of two to six participants. Each team must pledge to raise a minimum of $300, though Early Bird Registration is open now through March 29 and allows teams to waive $50 off their team registration fee. Funds raised will support Navian Hawaii’s programs and services.

Race day registration opens at 8:30 a.m., and the race starts at 9:45 a.m. Validated parking will be provided. For more information or to register for Hot Pursuit, visit www.HotPursuitHI.com or call (808) 791-8075.
