About the Project
Every breath holds a story.
Pride in Every Breath is an ongoing storytelling collaboration between Navian Hawaii and the Hawaiʻi Health & Harm Reduction Center (HHHRC) that amplifies LGBTQIA+ voices and shares personal stories about identity, love, family, caregiving and care.
Through photography, interviews and personal storytelling, the project creates space for LGBTQIA+ individuals and their loved ones to share their experiences—and for our community to listen, learn and connect.
A Collaboration Rooted in Community
This project brings together Navian Hawaii and HHHRC around a shared belief that health and well-being extend beyond medical care. They are shaped by our identities, our relationships, our families and our communities—and by whether we feel seen, respected and valued.
Together, we are creating a space for LGBTQIA+ stories that might otherwise go unheard and highlighting the people, relationships and experiences that shape our lives.
