At the end of life, we want the best for our loved ones.
To feel joy and love. To be free from pain and suffering. To live without worry and embrace the beauty of life for as long as possible. If you have a loved one who is terminally ill and you are unsure what to do next, we’re here to help.
As a longtime hospice provider, our Hospice Hawaii name has served us well. But with the addition of Integrated Care services, we needed a new name to better reflect our expanded scope of care. As Navian Hawaii, our name may have changed, but our mission, our values and our caring heart remain the same.
Hospice means hope
Hospice is specialized care designed to maximize the quality of life for people at the end of their journey. Our professionals and trained volunteers work as one team to meet the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of both the patient and their family.
Care wherever a patient calls "home"
We want our patients to stay where it’s most comfortable for them. We can provide care at a patient’s residence, at a nursing home or another place of their choosing.
More time for relationships
By allowing us to relieve some of the duties of caregiving, family members are more able to create lasting memories with their loved one during this precious time.
Not just for cancer patients
More than half of hospice patients are diagnosed with conditions other than cancer. Regardless of the diagnosis, and regardless of age, we can help.
Hospice care is affordable
Most insurance companies and other managed care organizations include hospice care as a benefit. Hospice is also available through Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance plans. If you don’t have insurance, we can still help.
Ready around the clock
Once on service, we are ready to assist 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There will always be someone available to help whenever it is needed.
Begin care early
Hospice should start well before a patient is bedridden and can be available from the time of the terminal prognosis. A prompt referral allows us to stabilize the patient’s condition much sooner.
Why Navian Hospice Hawaii?
As the only local, independent, not-for-profit hospice serving Oahu, Molokai and Lanai, we understand local needs and local values. We’ve been helping island families navigate through challenging times with hope and without fear, and we are here to be of service to you and your loved one.
