Navian Hawaii started the Sails of Remembrance to recognize the outstanding generosity of donations of $1,000 or more in memory of a loved one.  As a non-profit organization, donor support is essential so that we can continue to provide expert care in times of need. Just as we help patients and their families navigate toward hope, our Sails of Remembrance Wall symbolizes the journey each of us will sail. An in-person Sails of Remembrance ceremony is held bi-annually to celebrate and honor our loved ones.

If you are 70 ½ years old or older, the IRA QCD (known as the Qualified Charitable Distribution) is a smart way to make a tax-advantaged gift to Navian Hawaii using your qualified retirement plan.

Gifts of stock, mutual funds or other securities are a common alternative to cash gifts. For appreciated assets held more than one year, you’ll receive a tax deduction for the asset’s full fair-market value, without paying capital gain taxes.

Benefits are realized from a gift of real estate held long-term such as a rental property, vacation home or undeveloped land. You may deed your home, vacation house or other property to Navian Hawaii and still be able to live in or enjoy the property for the rest of your life.
