HONOLULU (April 16, 2024) – Navian Hawaii, formerly Hospice Hawaii, has named Dan Haire president and CEO of the not-for-profit organization, effective April 15, 2024. He will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction, overseeing operations, and driving initiatives to further enhance the organization’s impact within the community.

“With a background as a BSN prepared nurse and an MBA degree, Dan possesses a unique blend of clinical expertise and strategic vision that will drive Navian Hawaii’s mission forward,” said Board Chair Jennifer Walker. “His proven track record of leadership and his dedication to quality care make him the ideal fit to lead the organization into the future.”

Haire brings over a decade of leadership experience in hospice care to the position. Most recently, he served as vice president of operations for Islands Hospice. Prior to that, he served as CEO of SCA Health, where he spearheaded strategic growth initiatives and achieved significant operational milestones. His experience also includes positions as Vice President of Hospice Operations at Alternate Solutions Health Network and Regional Director of Hospice Operations at Intrepid USA, among others.

Haire holds an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University, a BSN from Indiana Wesleyan University, and an ASN from Henderson Community College. He is active in professional organizations such as the American College of Healthcare Executives, Hospice and Palliative Nurse Association, and NHPCO, where he has served in various leadership roles and contributed to advancing the field of hospice care through education and advocacy.
